We will be creating an artwork using forage, flowers and foliage. We will take some time for a grounding meditation guided by Jo and then allow our creativity to flow using a simple technique to capture the beauty of nature in fabric. Flowers and foliage available but please feel free to bring any forage that you may wish to use. We will then take time for a longer guided nature connection meditation focusing on forest floor finds. This meditation will allow you to deepen your connection with nature and consider techniques that you may wish to try again whilst in the forest.
Research has shown that "when people aren't able to interact directly with nature, they may still see some 'restorative' impacts by viewing 'faithful representations of nature'." (Source: Dr Marc Berman, University of Chicago.) Create a natural artwork to display in your home to bring a little of nature's beauty inside.
Light refreshments (herbal tea and vegan cake) provided. Please note that unfortunately this is not a fully accessible building and this workshop will require participants to walk up a flight of stairs. Tickets cover refreshments and materials (please note that frames are not included). This is a small group session to allow for a peaceful space to meditate and make.
